Zoetrope Record
This record features a custom animation that appears to move when the record spins, creating a unique audiovisual experience.
What’s included?
We create the animation for you and press the record.
- Custom Animation Design: You simply provide a static reference image (a logo, a flower, a character, etc.).
- Professional Editing: We transform your image into a unique loop sequence. We take 2-3 business days for design.
- The Result: A fully playable Picture Disc with a hidden animation visible through your camera.
How to view the zoetrope effect?
The animation is not visible to the naked eye under continuous light.
To see the magic, use any of these methods:
1. Your Phone Camera (Easiest):
- Place the record on the turntable at 33 RPM.
- Use a bright, direct light source (like a desk lamp) on the record.
- Open your phone camera and ensure it is set to 30 FPS.
- Lower the exposure (brightness) on your screen for a sharper image.
2. Strobe Light App:
- Download a "Strobe Light" app on your phone.
- Darken the room completely.
- Set the app frequency to 30Hz and point the flash at the spinning record.
What do I need to send?
You only need to share a single reference image and a specific idea to create the animation.
We will take that static reference and design the full animation effect for you.
In addition, you'll need to share your playlist and photos to customize the record, as usual.
How to order?
1. Choose the record's size.
Use the drop-down and select 12 inches.
2. Choose the color or effect.
Use the drop-down and select zoetrope.
3. Personalize your record.
Use the section above "👉 CUSTOMIZE YOUR RECORD" to share the information to make your record.
Upload this information:
STEP 1. Cover images: Up to 2 photos to be printed on the cover.
STEP 2. Sticker images: Up to 2 photos to be printed on the record's center circles.
STEP 3. Side A Mixtape: Choose any of these options 1.Share a link to your playlist on your favorite streaming, 2. Upload the audio files, or 3. Write the artist and song's names on your playlist.

4. Wait for the Art Proof
Within the next 24-72 hours, we'll send an art proof showing the illusion for your approval before printing the record, so you'll receive exactly what you see on the screen!

What files do you accept?
- Audio: MP3, M4A, WAV, and links to your favorite streaming site.
- Images: JPG and PNG.

What should I check on my files? (Files Requirements)
For images:
- Up to 4 photos. We use 2 for the cover and 2 for the labels.
- High resolution (300 DPI ideal).
- Subjects centered and no important text near edges or centered on stickers.
- Size for cover images: 3675px per side.
- Size for label images: 1200px per side.
- Format. JPG & PNG.
For Music:
- Each size allows recording a specific number of tracks and a total recording time per side. Please check it in the product's photo, FAQs, or contact us if you want further assistance.
- Format. MP3, M4A, WAV, and links to your streaming site.
Special cases
- Splatter disc: You can upload an additional image for reference to create the splatter effect. We'll use Artificial Intelligence tools to recreate it.
- Colored disc: You can choose the color directly on the selector. We can make any color you choose from.
- Zoetrope disc: You can upload an additional image for reference to create the zoetrope effect. We'll design an artwork to create the illusion of movement.
If we have issues with your files, we’ll let you know.
How many songs fit? (Tracks & Time Limits)
Depending on the record's size:
- For 7 inch: 3 per side, for a total of 6 songs per record.
- For 10 inch: 4 per side, for a total of 8 songs per record.
- For 12 inch: 5 per side, for a total of 10 songs per record.
However, the main limit is the time as follows:
- For 7 inch: 6 minutes per side, for a total of 12 minutes per disc.
- For 10 inch: 12 minutes per side, for a total of 24 minutes per disc.
- For 12 inch: 20 minutes per side, for a total of 40 minutes per disc.
When will my order be shipped?
Most orders are produced 2–7 business days after you approve the design proof.
Important note: During Christmas, processing may take up to 30 business days. We recommend placing your order early to make sure that you receive your gift on time.
Can I buy now and send files later?
Yes! You can buy now and send us your files by email when you are ready.

Will it play on any turntable?
Yes. Your custom vinyl is cut to standard specs and plays on any turntable.
